Okay, so you know about the school, but now I have to tell you about the phone call I made last night. While Nellie was making dinner, I called our principal. Here is how our phone call went:
Mr. Franklin: Hello, Franklin residence. Larry speaking.
(his name is Larry!!!)
Sam: Principal Franklin, this is Sam- uh, Samantha Parkington.
Mr. Franklin: Oh! Hello Samantha. What a surprise. It's summer you know and I didn't expect a call from a student.
Sam: Well, I was just wondering if you can give me any information about the break in. At the school? Nellie and I are detectives.
Mr. Franklin: Oh, yes. Well, what do you want to know?
Sam: Well, where did the thief break in?
Mr. Franklin: He didn't exactly break in. He some how had a key and used it to get in the back door of the girl's soccer team's locker.
Sam: What did the thief steal?
Mr. Franklin: Not a lot of things are in the lockers right now since school is out. He almost got into the coaches office though. That's where they keep the trophies.
Sam: Oh, no!
Mr. Franklin: Don't worry, Mr. Morton, the janitor, was cleaning in there, getting ready for the new school year. He couldn't catch the robber, but he did keep him from taking anything.
Sam: Thank you for your time, Mr. Franklin. Please let me know if anything else happens.
Mr. Franklin: I sure will. Good bye!
Sam: Bye!
I hung up then and went to my room to do some thinking. I took out my notebook and started writing down the things I knew so far.
